Terbium Fluoride is mainly applied in laboratory reagents, doped fiber, laser material, rotating fluorescent luminous materials,optical fiber, optical coating materials, electronic materials, etc.

Optical application: Because of its high refractive index and transparency, terbium fluoride can be used to prepare window materials for optical glass, fiber and laser.
‌Nuclear energy applications: Terbium fluoride is used as a neutron source in the nuclear energy industry, especially the small fission cross section of the isotope terbium-159.

Electronic devices: terbium fluoride has good electrical properties and chemical stability, and can be used in the preparation of high temperature superconductors, semiconductor devices and electrolyte materials.
Other applications: It is also used as an additive for ceramics and coatings, in the preparation of battery materials, and as a glass corrosion inhibitor.
